Composition of the material: Material is obtained by the infiltration of a powder frame from high carbon steels by copper alloy.
Main characteristics of the material:
● Ultimate strength – 450-650 MPa; Hardness – 180-240 HB;
● Heat conductivity – 45-55 Wt/mK;
● Porosity – 3 % maximum.
Type and characteristics of the material: Material is designed to fabricate bushings of pivot car suspensions. Bushings have a wear of 0,2 mm for 200 000 km of running (admissible wear is 0,5 mm). Bushings can be manufactured as bimetallic ones.
An output mastery of developed products: A commercial output of parts is mastered at the pilot plant of Powder Metallurgy Institute, yield is 10 000 pieces per month. Main consumer is BAAZ (Baranovichi).
