The "metal-polymer" coating consists of two (or three) layers: the adhesion sublayer, the main layer of a corrosion-resistant metal and an additional polymer layer. Zinc or aluminum wire is used as a material for the main layer. This provides electrochemical protection of the base metal and the polymer fills small amount of remaining pores and provides additional protection to the treated surface against the mechanical stress. The "metal-polymer" coating protects the base metal surface against corrosion for over 20 years and more, depending on the thickness of the metal and the polymeric layer. |

Protection of
the outside surface of a vehicle body for salt and sand is carried out by
applying the wear and corrosion resistant coating as follows: jet-abrasive
treatment of the surface, applying a special composition containing zinc (cold zinc-plating),
spraying of the polymer coating. |
