Technology application: The formation of wear-resistant and strengthening coatings at low temperature on cutting and production tools, on machine parts and mechanisms, as well as the application of protective, decorative and other functional coatings on the parts from metal, glass and ceramics.

Technical and economic indices of the technology:

Source materials - Ti, Zr, Hf, Cr, Mo, as well as their combinations with nitrogen and carbon;

Operating temperature does not exceeds 200 С;

Coating thickness – 3-5 µm;

Vacuum equipment is to be equipped with arc and ion sources.

Advantages of the developed technology:

Expansion of the nomenclature of hardenable tools without exposing them to tempering during the spraying of coatings.

Improvements of coating wear resistance due to the increase if its density by the method of ion assisting.

Improvements of adhesive characteristics of coatings due to a preliminary surface purification and its activation with a low energy beam of gas ions.

Improvement of aesthetic characteristics of decorative coatings due to the removal of microelectric arc charges appearing during a traditional method of spraying of vacuum coatings by electric arc evaporation.

Kind and characteristics of the products: Delivery of the equipment and the technology, rendering of services of spraying of coatings on customer’s parts. Developed technologies and equipment were exported to Korea, Jordan and Taiwan.
